LANCKORONA
PUBLIC SWIMMING POOL AND LIBRARY
Lanckorona is a small town in the middle of Poland, where a public building was completly needed for the population. Then, the town hall organized a competition between the Architecture students for the design of a public swimming pool, connected to an existing school.
The program was divided into different uses and spaces, so the idea of the project was taken from there, dividing all the different spaces in different modules, but all connected and related between them.

All the windows and gaps were thought taking into account the main views and the sun movement.
The fractures created between the different volumes serve to create a discontinuity in the building but a balance in the day light. In that way, the light is provided to almost all the spaces that need light.
