WIND PROJECT
THE SHIP
The building is designed to contain a museum from Alicante, a conference area, exhibition area and a bar.
Because of the VOLVO OCEAN RACE competition, the building will travel all around the world.
It was written in the program of the contest to think about sustainable energy sources, so we think about the wind. The same as a ship is moved by wind, the building will work by wind
The program pretends to give a bit of Alicante’s culture all around the world, at the same time that gives the possibility of making conferences or allows the visitor to enjoy the views of the race.

The building is made by containers, written also in the program of the competition. In that way, we had to design it thinking about the joints between them, and the position and order to be built.
The horizontal containers will contain the different uses, while the vertical ones will contain the wind energy source.
